Term 3, Untutored life drawing images from 17th of July,

Modelling the form using tone was the subject of todays life drawing workshop with Annita Furey. The above images are a selection of the drawings produced. It was particulary good to welcome new students to the studio, including some with no previous drawing experience and then to see them go on to produce some impressive results, good work everyone! In ‘Painting the figure’ workshop we examined various artists & their different approaches to painting the figure these artists included Modigliani, Picasso, Matisse, Toulouse Latrec, Velasquez. We considered how drawing is the foundation for every good painting & played with the idea of drawing with the paint.
