TUTORED LIFE DRAWING – The course will cover composition, anatomical structure, various approaches to modeling form & media exploration for perceptual skills. A combination of quick & sustained studies will be tailored to suit students skills. (Note: changed in times & date)

Advanced Tutored Life Drawing

For students and artists with some observational life drawing skills. This structured program gives participants opportunities for further exploration and experimentation. Participants are free to work on individual projects and will be facilitated by the tutor acting as a guide. The course can be tailored to meet individual participants needs and requirements. It is however intended that the course will cover basic spatial and aesthetic considerations along with the formal conventions of drawing, the expressive aspects of practice will also be critiqued. Exploration of the figure will be evaluated and understood within an historical context.

TUTORS PROFILE: Annita Furey- Master of Fine Art The Victorian College of the Arts (drawing). Fellowship Diploma RMIT (painting). Diploma of Education The University of Melbourne. Extensive experience teaching life drawing at tertiary level including NMIT & the University of Melbourne short course program. Annita’s career includes 7 solo shows, most recently at Span Gallery, Melbourne April 2007.Runner up in the 2007 Hutchins Art Prize, awarded the Hillross Award.
