Description
These frogs were the guests of honour at the best wedding I’ve ever been to, near the Murray
at Ulupna. Well, what else is there to do when the frogs are so loud they’re drowning out the
speeches? There were pobblebonks surrounding the house, Peron’s Tree frogs cackled from
the trees, and spotted marsh frogs jumped from underfoot. The frog on the tree (a Peron’s
Tree frog) was my favourite photo from that night, with the frog watching me before it jumped
onto another tree and disappeared. It got its revenge when a friend called right next to my ear
and half deafened me! The spotted marsh frog shows how tiny some frogs really are, sitting
on a single leaf calling its heart out. I love the foreground of this image, and the texture and
areas of darkness I feel add to the complexity of this photo.
