In 2003, Nyora Studio (Nyora) opened its doors for the very first time. Located in Eltham, on the outskirts of Melbourne, Australia. Nyora Studio is an arts and crafts centre, a teaching and learning space that has hosted thousands of people.
What was once an orchard packing shed is now a creative studio for many who come to learn, teach or participate in the artist in residence program. The studio is the first space you’ll see when you visit Nyora. Look for the big red doors.
Out the back you’ll find workshops where the magic continues, furniture making, coach building, sculpture and more.
Owned and operated by artists Emmy Mavroidis and Aldo Bilotta, Nyora is widely regarded as a special place, unique in many ways. While Nyora offers workshops in life drawing, sculpture, printing, individual mentoring, an artist-in-residence program, and more, it’s the passion and commitment of Emmy and Aldo that truly distinguish them. They strive to provide their students, teachers, and visitors with the best possible experience.
It is this dedication that sets Nyora apart from others—the Nyora experience, changing lives one at a time. Letters of support from former students leave no doubt that the Nyora experience truly does transform lives. Here’s what they said.
